Directions

Get Organized!

Gather your mise en place; get together all of the equipment needed for the recipe and gather your ingredients.

Get Prepped!

Remove the core of the cabbage. Using a knife or scissor, cut the leaves of the cabbage very thinly.

Peel the apples. Remove the core. Slice into slices roughly 2 – 3 centimetres thick.

Measure all remaining ingredients.

Get Cooking!

In a medium pot over high heat, combine vinegar, apple juice, brown sugar and water and bring to a boil.

Once boiling, add the cabbage and apples, mix well and return to a boil. Once boiling, turn heat down to low and cover with a lid. Simmer for 15 – 20 minutes, until the cabbage is softened and the liquid has reduced down to a syrup consistency.
