Food Education Projects
All Growing Chefs! Food Education Programs provide hands-on experiential learning opportunities for children, designed to build cooking skills, food literacy and an understanding of food systems. More important than that, our programs are fun! The reason that the Growing Chefs! concept works is because it helps children, youth and families get excited about learning to enjoy food that’s good for you!
Growing Chefs! runs both in-person and virtual programs that fall into three categories:
- School Programs: which are run in partnership with public and private elementary and high schools.
- Community Programs: which are run in partnership with community agencies and available to the general public.
- Garden Programs: which provide outdoor programs for schools and community groups.
Registration for the 2022/2023 school year is now open! Learn how you can bring food education to your classrooms by exploring our field trip and in-school project options!
