Growing Chefs! Ontario: FeastON® Certification
FeastON® CertificationGrowing Chefs! Ontario is officially FeastON® Certified!
Share on:

FeastOn is a certification program run by the Ontario Culinary Tourism Alliance, recognizing restaurants and food service providers committed to sourcing and celebrating locally grown food and drink. It helps consumers identify and support businesses that prioritize local, sustainable ingredients and celebrate Ontario’s culinary identity.
To become FeastOn® certified, businesses must:
- Procure Ontario food and drink whenever possible.
- Identify the provenance of Ontario food and drink on the menu.
- Track and trace Ontario food and drink purchases.
- Develop Ontario’s culinary identity by championing local, seasonal products.
- Educate the public about Ontario food and drink.
Additionally, they must ensure that at least 25% of their total annual food and beverage receipts reflect Ontario-grown or produced ingredients. Our kitchen brings in close to 50%!
When you see the FeastOn badge, you’re not just dining out —you’re supporting local farmers and producers. This is exactly what we love to see: local restaurants supporting local farmers. It’s win/win; Ontario Grown; Chef Approved!
