Verdura Strascinata

Strascinata is a typical way of eating many seasonal vegetables in Italy, the word literally translates to dragged’, so make sure to drag the greens through the delicious chili and garlic for the most flavour!

6 cups mixed greens2 cloves garlic1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil1/2 teaspoon chili flakes1 lemon

Gather your mise en place; get together all of the equipment needed for the recipe and gather your ingredients.

Get Prepped!

Wash the greens and dry them well.

Peel the garlic cloves then slice them very thinly.

Get Cooking!

Place olive oil in a frying pan, preheat over medium heat for 1 – 2 minutes. Add sliced garlic and fry until it just starts to brown.

As soon as garlic starts to brown, remove from heat and add mixed greens, stirring constantly to coat the greens well in the olive oil. Add chili flakes and lemon juice, serve immediately.
