Garlic Scape Pesto

A flavourful, bright green sauce that can be used on sandwiches and pasta!
Makes 3 to 4 cups
1 cup sunflower seeds1 cup parmesan cheese, grated1 cup olive oil4 cups garlic scapes, chopped3 cups fresh basil2 lemons, juiced and zested Salt to taste Pepper to taste

Get Organized!

Gather your mise en place; get together all of the equipment needed for the recipe and gather your ingredients.

Get Prepped!

Measure out the oil, kale, basil and seeds. Juice the lemon. Grate and measure out the parmesan.

Get Cooking!

Put the sunflower seeds, parmesan, garlic, oil, kale, basil and lemon juice in a food processor and whizz to a paste. Season to taste.
