Directions

Get Organized!

Gather your mis en place; get together all of the equipment needed for the recipe and gather your ingredients.

Get Prepped!

Preheat the oven to 375°F.

Peel, remove the core and dice the apples. If the apples are too thick they will not bake down and soften properly.

Measure out the corn starch, cinnamon, sugar, lemon juice and salt and toss with the sliced apples.

Crack the egg and add 1 tablespoon of water then mix together with a whisk or fork.

Get Cooking!

Cut the sheet of puff pastry into 8 squares. Place the apple filling in the center of the puff pastry. Fold the corners of the puff pastry upward and pinch the edges together.

Place the pastries onto a baking sheet lined with parchment, then brush with the egg and water mixture.

Bake in the preheated oven until the pastry is golden brown, roughly 1520 minutes. Allow to cool slightly before eating.
