Directions

Get Organized!

Gather your mise en place; get together all of the equipment needed for the recipe and gather your ingredients.

Get Prepped!

Preheat the oven to 400°F.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the milk and breadcrumbs and let sit for 2 to 3 minutes.

Peel the onion and grate on the larger side of a cheese grater.

Using a rasp, or alternatively a chef’s knife, mince the garlic finely.

Combine beef, onion, garlic, egg, salt and pepper into the breadcrumb and milk mixture. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.

Scoop out 2 tablespoons pieces of meatball onto a parchment lined baking sheet. Bake in the oven for 12 – 15 minutes until the meatballs are fully cooked through.

Get Cooking!

In a medium pot, add the olive oil and garlic and place onto medium heat. Let cook until the garlic is very lightly browned.

Add pineapple juice, ketchup, brown sugar, soy sauce and cornstarch and whisk very well until combined. Bring the mixture to a boil and the turn down to a simmer for about 5 minutes, until the sauce has thickened.

Transfer the cooked meatballs.
