Get Organized!
Gather your mise en place; get together all of the equipment needed for the recipe and gather your ingredients.
Get Prepped!
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
In a medium bowl, combine canola oil, eggs and pumpkin and mix well. puree
In a separate bowl, combine the spices, salt, baking powder and flour and mix well.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and use a to mix until combined with no lumps. spatula
Get Cooking!
Spray the doughnut tray well with non-stick spray, or alternatively brush with canola oil.
Fill the donut tray about ¾ full (should be roughly ¼ cup of batter).
Place into the oven and bake for 15 – 18 minutes, until a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean. Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes before removing the donuts from the tray.
While the doughnuts are still warm but not too fragile, coat in either cinnamon sugar or with your choice of icing and enjoy!
