75 grams all purpose flour75 grams sugar1/2 teaspoon baking powder1/2 teaspoon salt2 eggs1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract75 grams butter, melted1 lemon, zest and juice

Get Organized!

Gather your mise en place; get together all of the equipment needed for the recipe and gather your ingredients.

Get Prepped!

In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt and mix well. 

Add the two eggs, lemon zest, juice and vanilla and mix well, then slowly stream the melted butter in while mixing. 

Cover the mix and allow it to sit at room temperature for 1 hour. 

Preheat the oven to 400°F. 

Get Cooking!

Set a nonstick madeleine pan on top of a baking tray. Using a pastry brush, grease the madeleine molds with melted butter. 

Scoop just over 1 tablespoon into each greased madeleine mold. 

Bake madeleines for 1012 minutes until edges are golden brown and domed in the center. 

Remove the madeleines from the oven and pop out of the molds while still hot and place onto a cooling rack.
