Chocolate Dipped Strawberries

Chocolate dipped strawberries are a classic for Valentines Day, but making them in June when strawberries are at their peak is even better! Dark chocolate contrasts beautifully with the sweet juicy flavour of fresh strawberries.
Serves 6-8
1 pint strawberries6 ozs ounces dark chocolate (or two bars of chocolate), chopped
Baking sheet lined with parchment paperCutting boardParing knifeMedium potMedium bowl that fits onto the pot, heat-proofSpatulaTwo forks

Get Organized!

Gather your mis en place; get together all of the equipment needed for the recipe and gather your ingredients.

Get Prepped!

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Wash the strawberries and then make sure they are very dry before dipping them.

Coarsely chop the chocolate.

Get Cooking!

Put some water into the pot and heat until just steaming. Place the heat-proof bowl on top of the pot and put the chocolate in the bowl. Allow the chocolate to melt slowly, stirring once or twice.

When the chocolate has completely melted, dip the strawberries into the chocolate using the forks and transfer to the parchment-lined baking sheet. Continue with the rest of the strawberries

Once all pieces have been dipped, set the sheet aside until chocolate hardens. To quickly harden chocolate, transfer the baking sheet to the refrigerator for 10 minutes. Serve at room temperature.
