Chicken Parmesan

Thinly sliced chicken is lightly breaded and baked with a rich tomato gravy and mozzarella cheese to make this mouth watering chicken parmesan.

1 chicken breast, cut in half lengthwise to give you two pieces1/2 cup bread crumbs1/4 cup parmesan cheese6 ozs mozzarella cheese1 egg, whisked with 1 tablespoon water1/2 cup flour1/2 teaspoon tomato sauce1 tablespoon dried oregano Non-stick cooking spray

Get Organized!

Gather your mise en place; get together all of the equipment needed for the recipe and gather your ingredients

Get Prepped!

Preheat the oven to 350°F.

Measure out the breadcrumbs, parmesan, mozzarella, flour, tomato sauce, and oregano.

Cut the chicken breast in half lengthwise so that you have two equal sized pieces of chicken.

Crack the egg and whisk in one tablespoon of water.

Mix together the breadcrumb, oregano and parmesan.

Get Cooking!

Dip the pieces of chicken first into the flour, then the egg mixture and then the breadcrumb mixture.

Spray the baking sheet lined with parchment with the non-stick spray and then place the breaded chicken on top.

Bake the chicken for 20 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.

Carefully remove the chicken from the oven and flip. Top each piece with some tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese. Return to the oven and bake until the cheese is melted and has begun to brown.
