1 can tomato paste1 cup apple juice1/4 cup maple syrup2 tablespoons brown sugar2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar1 tablespoon molasses1 teaspoon smoked paprika1 teaspoon garlic powder1/2 teaspoon onion powder Salt to taste

Get Organized!

Gather your mise en place; get together all of the equipment needed for the recipe and gather your ingredients.

Get Prepped!

Measure all ingredients into a pot; the tomato paste, apple juice, maple syrup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, molasses, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt to taste. 

Get Cooking!

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Bring to a gentle simmer over medium-low heat and whisk together until smooth. 

Cook for 1520 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened.

Taste and adjust sweetness, salt or acidity if desired.

Allow to cool before using.

Toss the chicken drumsticks in the bbq sauce, and brush more over with a pastry brush. 

Place the drumsticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Cook until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F.
