Join us as our Chefs lead participants step-by-step through family favourite recipes!

What to Expect: Join our Chefs each month as they explore seasonal flavours and exciting twists on much-loved recipes that are great for the whole family! Our Chefs will take participants step-by-step through the recipes, helping your young chefs develop confidence, enthusiasm and cooking skills.

Ages:
participants must between 7 – 11 on the day of the class.

Location: Monthly Kid’s Cooking Class will be hosted at The Grove at The Western Fair District, located at 900 King St. We are currently in the process of undergoing renovations in our building, and if that will interfere with these classes, we will move to our 460 King St location and communicate this as early as possible. 

Dates & Time: Tuesday, March 12th, 12:00 – 1:30PM, 2:30 – 4:00PM, or 5:00 – 6:30PM (full)

Pricing: **Please note, our Monthly Kid’s Cooking Classes increased by $5 per participant, starting in February. Over the past 3 years, food and labour costs have risen dramatically, while our rates have remained the same. In order to continue to bring you the same great quality of programming you’ve come to expect, it is necessary to increase our prices slightly, in-line with current inflation. As always, we are committed to providing low-cost food education experiences for children and youth. A subsidized price option remains built into the registration form, but if cost still remains a barrier to registration, please contact christy@growingchefsontario.ca to explore further subsidy options.You will also notice a new option on the registration form to donate $5 to our Food Education Subsidy Fund, every little bit you can give helps!

Food Allergies: Our team is highly experienced in managing dietary restrictions. Do not let a dietary concern prevent your child from participating in our programming. Cancellations: Once full payment is received and registration is confirmed, any cancellation must be directly communicated to Growing Chefs! Staff as early as possible. Cancellations made once the program has started will be eligible for refunds on a case by case basis.

Accessibility and Inclusivity: We are proud to announce our facility at The Grove can accommodate wheelchair users. We also have a gender-inclusive washroom available and are a safe space. Please let our staff team know of any mobility or any needed accommodations in advance, and we will plan accordingly.
