Get Organized!

Gather your mise en place; get together all of the equipment needed for the recipe and gather all of the ingredients.

Get Prepped!

Cut the banana up into 3 centimeter or smaller pieces and freeze (this can be done ahead of time).

Measure frozen berries and place them with the banana in the blender.

Measure yogurt or non-dairy milk and set aside.

Cut up any fruit you would like for garnishes into slices or fun shapes, such as cubes or with cookie cutters.

Get Cooking!

Blend the banana and frozen berries in the blender until they are broken up into tiny pieces.

Remove the lid of the blender, scrape the fruit off the sides of the blender with a spatula, and add the yogurt or non dairy milk.

Turn the blender back onto medium speed, and blend until fruit and yogurt form a thick, creamy puree. If needed, add a bit more liquid to reach desired consistency.

Scrape the smoothie out of the blender with the spatula into two bowls, and smooth with a spoon. Top the smoothie bowl with desired toppings, and enjoy immediately.
