Ingredients
1 pie shell2 cups brown sugar, packed4 tablespoons all-purpose flour1 can evaporated milk2 eggs, lightly beaten1 teaspoon vanilla1/4 cup butter, cold and diced into pea sized pieces

Get Organized!

Gather your mise en place; get together all of the equipment needed for the recipe and gather your ingredients.

Get Prepped!

Measure brown sugar, flour, evaporated milk, eggs, and vanilla into a bowl. Whisk together well.

Finely dice the butter so it is in pea sized pieces.

Roll out the pie crust with lots of flour, and place it into the pie tin. Fold the edges of the pie underneath to get a double crust, and then crimp the pie crust.

Add the filling into the pie, add the butter all over the top of the filling.

Get Cooking!

Preheat the oven to 350 F; bake for 4060 minutes, until the pie crust is golden brown and the middle of the pie is set with a slight wobble. Let cool completely and then serve.
