Strawberry Salsa

What’s better than a freshly picked local strawberry? We think not much but, this strawberry salsa makes a great after-school snack!

Ingredients
1 pint strawberries1/2 lime, juiced and zested1/2 tablespoon honey or sugar1 tablespoon cilantro, chopped1 tablespoon mint, chopped Dash of hot sauce to taste Salt to taste Tortilla chips for serving

Get Organized!

Gather your mis en place; get together all of the equipment needed for the recipe and gather your ingredients.

Get Prepped!

Wash the strawberries and take off the green hull. Dice them and add them to the mixing bowl.

Measure out the honey.

Zest the lime and cut in half.

Chop the cilantro and mint (scissors make a great alternative to a knife when chopping herbs).

Get Cooking!

Add the lime juice and zest, honey, dash of hot sauce to the strawberries and gently stir together. Season with salt to taste.
