Wash the strawberries thoroughly and remove the green tops.

Slice berries into even pieces so they cook evenly.

Measure the sugar, lemon juice, and rose water.

In a small bowl, combine cornstarch and water to create a smooth slurry.

Get Cooking!

Place strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice into a medium saucepan.

Cook over medium heat, stirring gently, until the berries begin to soften and release their juices.

Add the rose water and stir carefully to distribute the flavour evenly.

Slowly pour in the cornstarch slurry while stirring continuously.

Cook for another 12 minutes until slightly thickened.

Remove from heat and allow to cool before serving.
