We are recruiting new members for our Board of Directors!

Growing Chefs! Ontario is seeking individuals to join our Board of Directors who have previous leadership and governance experience, skills in fund development, financial management, communications, and social entrepreneurship who are eager to be a part of a dynamic and hard-working organization.

The Growing Chefs! Ontario board is a governance board, who works closely with the full-time Executive Director, providing policy and direction to the organization and furthering the organization’s vision to build and maintain a healthy, empowered community that is engaged with our food system.

Growing Chefs! Ontario continues to build a Board that has a broad skill set, experience, depth and a solid commitment to sustainable development. Board members are expected to attend and actively participate in board meetings and contribute to the organization’s fundraising strategy. In addition, Board members are expected to actively work to progress the aims of the organization and serve on at least one Board sub-committee.

The Board meets on the last Monday of each month for approximately 1.52 hours. Successful candidates will be expected to be able to devote an additional 1 – 3 hours per month to Growing Chefs! Ontario with some months requiring a heavier commitment than others.

Growing Chefs! Ontario has an established Board Member onboarding process where you will have the opportunity to work with other Board Members, the Executive Director, and staff to transition into the role and learn more about our programming.
