WCS Virtual Date Night Fundraiser with Growing Chefs! Ontario
Join Chef Ryan for an amazing (virtual) Italian cooking class; a fundraiser hosted by the WCS NFP Management Class supporting food education.

Western University’s Continuing Studies Class of Not-for-Profit Management is partnering with Growing Chefs! to give you an exciting Virtual Date Night Cooking Class.
Partake in this safe and fun event and enjoy a date night from the comfort of your own home. Sign up for our Virtual Date Night Cooking Class on Thursday, February 25 at 6:00pm, and enjoy cooking alongside Chef Ryan Wishak of Growing Chefs! Ontario. Chef Ryan will walk you through a specially curated 3-course Italian meal for 2 (!) and allow you the chance to hone your cooking skills from a great local Chef!
Tickets include a complete recipe kit from Growing Chefs! which will contain all the ingredients needed to prepare a complete meal for two, for only $120! That means for only $60 a person, you get dinner AND entertainment!
Contactless pick up will be from Growing Chefs! headquarters, at 460 King Street, London, the day before the event: on Wednesday, February 24th, between 2-5pm.

Participants from outside of London are able to participate in the class virtually, but will be required to shop for their own ingredients. A complete recipe and ingredient list will be provided in advance for those attendees.
There will also be a fundraising auction available during the event with lots of local goodies to choose from! Sponsors to be announced leading up to the event; sneak peeks at the auction items will also be communicated.

WHAT: Virtual Date Night Cooking Class
WHEN: Live portion to be 6-7pm with Chef Ryan Wishak of Growing Chefs! Ontario, on Thursday, February 25, 6pm.
MENU: ***for those requesting a vegetarian meal, Chef Ryan suggests substituting the chicken, for a Squash Steak*** (note: recipe instructions & recipe kits will address the chicken entree only)
- Antipasto Platter: Assorted meats, cheeses, marinated vegetables and crostini (Participants will be instructed on how to assemble the platter and a discussion on what makes good antipasto)
- Chicken Saltimbocca , Eggplant and olive caponata over seared polenta (Participants will make the caponata “sauce”, fry the polenta and assemble/cook the chicken)
- Cannoli: Candied orange, pistachio and dark chocolate (Participants will pipe the filling into the cannoli shells, and decorate with chopped pistachios and chocolate)
