Monthly Adult Cooking Classes are BACK – and better than ever! In our BRANDNEW cooking studio at Growing Chefs! at The Grove (within Western Fair)! Better still, 50% of your ticket fee is eligible for a tax receipt! Yes! Our amazing in-person classes, led by our extraordinary Chefs, directly support our School Food Education Projects! Does it get any better than that?

What to Expect: Prepare to experience our high-energy, hands-on cooking class for children, adapted for adults! Led by our amazing Chef team, come explore some great new recipes in our brand new teaching kitchen at The Grove! Each class includes professional instruction and a sit-down meal – prepared entirely by YOU.

Ages:19+
Growing Chefs! Ontario holds a valid catering licence, meaning The Grove is a fully licensed space during private events. We work with various Ontario companies to bring you the tastiest beverages our region has to offer, further supporting our mission to #supportlocal. A cash bar will be available, accepting credit, debit and cash.

Pricing:
Monthly Adult Cooking Class tickets are $100 per person.
What your ticket includes:
2 and half-hour interactive cooking class, a sit-down meal and a donation which helps fund two children to participate in our public programming! A tax receipt for 50% of your class fee is available for each ticket purchased. One price, twice the impact!

Date & Time: Adult Monthly Cooking Classes will run once a month on Wednesday Nights from 6:00 to 8:30pm

Winter 2022 Dates:
January 26th – Tacos & Tequila

February 23rd – Curries of the World

March 23rd – Sugar Shack

Location: Classes will be held at our new teaching facility, The Grove at The Western Fair District, located at 900 King St. This facility is more spacious than Growing Chefs! Headquarters, is easier to host cooking instruction and is able to better accommodate physical distancing and current public safety measures.

Food Allergies: Do not let a dietary concerns prevent you from participating in our classes! Our Chef team is highly experienced in managing dietary requirements, so please reach out to us to discuss. Contact Emily at [email protected]growingchefsontario.ca with your specific concerns, and we’ll do our best to make the appropriate accommodations.

Capacity: Adhering to current COVID-19 distancing restrictions, and to ensure every participant has the opportunity to interact with our Chef team, the capacity of these classes has been limited at present. We hope to more widely open up our numbers in the New Year. Stay tuned!

COVID-19 Safety: Growing Chefs! Ontario is in regular contact with the Middlesex London Health Unit to ensure we are following strict COVID-19 guidelines. Throughout the pandemic we have always gone above and beyond what was required by public health. We are following guidelines for cooking and food skills programs set out by Public Health.

Therefore, participants are required to fill out a screening and wear a reusable or single-use medical mask unless eating or maintaining a distance of at least 2 metres when outdoors. Surfaces will be cleaned and sanitized regularly, in between each activity and when participants leave an area.All guests/​attendees to our Headquarters, aged 12 and older, require proof of complete COVID-19 vaccination (dated at least 14 days prior) or proof of acceptable exemption. Participants are asked to bring a paper or digital copy of their vaccination receipt or proof of exemption, and a piece of identification for view only (must be issued by an institution or public body and show their name and date of birth. Photo ID is not required). We will not keep a copy on record, please do not email us proof.

Cancellations: Refund or cancellation requests must be communicated directly to Emily at [email protected]growingchefsontario.ca within 7 days prior to class; these classes are extremely popular and fill quickly – we will open your spot to our waiting list. If cancelled with less than 7 days notice, you will be given the option to switch your ticket to a future class (if spots are available) or be provided a tax receipt for the remaining donation amount, with our thanks.
