Growing Chefs! Ontario: Chef Matt Rice’s Fundraising Dinner

Join us for a fundraising dinner as Growing Chefs!‘s own Chef Matt Rice joins The Fight to End Homelessness! Chef Matt has been training to step into the ring and help raise funds for Youth Opportunities Unlimited and their new Wellness Hub in Joan’s Place. Enjoy a delicious and locally sourced 4 course dinner as we support Chef Matt in his fight! 

What to Expect: In the spirit of community, dinner will be served family style, giving you a chance to re-connect with friends and make new ones over your shared love of food! 

Pricing: $65 +hst per person. 

Date & Time: Friday, October 6^th; doors open at 5:30PM, dinner to start at 6:00PM.

Menu:

• Celeriac bisque with chili oil, pickled pig’s trotter grilled cheese
• Massaged kale salad with candied pumpkin seeds, roasted squash, pickled cranberries, apple, maple vinaigrette
• Braised and glazed pork belly
• Potato puree, beurre noisette with fresh herbs
• Apple & chili chutney
• Roasted parsnips with cider reduction
• Sweet potato pie with toasted marshmallow, black cherry gastrique, candied ginger and pumpkin crumb

Location: Dinner will be held at Growing Chefs! Headquarters at 460 King St.

Food Allergies: There will be vegetarian accommodations available for dinner. Due to the nature of the event and menu, we may not be able to accommodate all dietary restrictions. If you have further dietary concerns, please contact Emily at events@​growingchefsontario.​ca.

Our washrooms are located on the second floor accessed via a staircase, therefore we cannot consider ourselves a fully accessible space (in our historic old home).

All Growing Chefs! Events directly fund our Food Education Programs. This event will help Growing Chefs! stand in Chef Matt’s corner as he fights to end homelessness!
