UPDATE: TICKETS ARE NOW SOLD OUT. Thank you to everyone who got their tickets early, and if you missed out this time, be sure to sign up for our newsletter here to find out about the next one in the new year!
Although we had to postpone the cooking class, we've got a new date and we're so exicted! Come join us for a delicious evening on November 26th to learn delicious new recipes, experience the market in a whole new way, and support our work here at Growing Chefs! Ontario. (Phew that's a lot!)
After the delicious success of our inaugral event at The Root Cellar Organic Cafe in February, we are now so pleased to announce the second edition of the Growing Chefs! Ontario cooking workshop series. This series will give a window into the experience of children and youth who have participated in one of this year's 100+ community cooking workshops. (See what this kind of fun looks like and peruse our workshop series photo album here.)
For our second event, we are so proud to partner with our good friends at The Western Fair Farmers' and Artisans' Market - who will act as our gracious hosts for the evening. Join us for this exclusive cooking class that fuses a perfect morning at the market with a delicious dinner, and what all the kids are talking about - a Growing Chefs! cooking workshop.
On the big night, come and enjoy an interactive class lead by Growing Chefs! Chef Katherine Puzara and several market chef celebrities. As a participant you'll make momos with Yam at Momos at the Market, make tacos (with the tortillas from scratch!) with Anthony from the Butchers Blend, and whip up a lip-smacking last course with Philipe from Habitual Chocolate.
With your ticket, not only will you be helping us to run our programming without passing costs along to participants, you'll also get a behind the scenes look at these businesses and learn the chefs' top secret tricks. It's a one of a kind opportunity to see one of your favourite markets in a new light.
We're limiting the number of tickets available to make sure its intimate and interactive as can be - so get your ticket today!

Our hosts: The Western Fair Farmers' and Artisans' Market is primarily known for its Saturday Farmers' Market. The WFFAM is a popular destination for chefs, cooks and local gastronomes in search of a wide variety of artisanal products and seasonal ingredients. Market-goers love the WFFAM because they can buy high-quality; farm-fresh goods directly from the person who produced them and can find unique products they won’t discover anywhere else in the city.
Why they do what they do: The Farmers and Artisans Market at The Western Fair is a mission-driven best-in-class market, innovative business incubator, welcoming gathering place, and weekly community tradition. We support the local economy by promoting and creating healthy food networks. Our aim is to engage entrepreneurs and producers that have a social mission and tap into the movement of revolutionizing retail – people dedicated to sourcing quality, ethical, healthy food and concerned about where it originates.
